Message from the President

"A passion for highly efficient and high-quality industrial components and systems that support the next era"

Toshiba began manufacturing transformers essential for power supply in 1894, developed the first domestic product two-phase induction motor (industrial motor) the following year and has a history of 130 years.

In addition, Toshiba Mie Office was established as a production base in western Japan in 1938 and started manufacturing small electric motors.

In the following year, Toshiba began manufacturing medium-sized electric motors and then began manufacturing small distribution transformers in the next year, 1940.

Toshiba has evolved to meet the needs of the times and continued to create a prosperous society with customers.

Recently, Toshiba has been expanding the product range to meet the labor-saving needs of the times such as FA equipment, Industrial Lithium-Ion Batteries SCiB™, and Drive Motor for hybrid/electric vehicles.

And now, it has become essential to realize carbon neutrality and a circular economy for the sustainable future of people and the earth.

In the previous year, Toshiba started sales of the "Synchronous Reluctance Motor" that achieves the highest level of efficiency standards IE5.

In the distribution transformer sector, Toshiba is developing distribution transformers and preparing for production toward the tertiary criteria which will start in 2026.

In addition, Toshiba also received high praise for manufacturing with the Mie Office being the first industrial/social infrastructure business to receive the Good Factory Management Award from the Japan Management Association in 2024.

Under Toshiba's corporate philosophy, "Committed to People, Committed to the Future." Toshiba will further refine its technical capabilities, manufacturing capabilities, proposal capabilities, and customer support capabilities so that the entire company will work together to move forward toward building the foundation for a prosperous future with customers.

All Toshiba employees will continue to work tirelessly with their passion for industrial components and systems that support the times.

Toshiba appreciates your continued support and patronage.
