About Premium gold motor
(frame size 225 and smaller)
The premium gold motor (frame size 226 and smaller) combines the technology amassed over many years with the latest design technique, optimizing the parts and making the product lighter. The motor is compliant with the Top Runner standard. The motor is used in a vast variety of industrial equipment, including fans, pumps and compressors. Upon request, the motor can be customized as best suited to the load machine.
Features
- Compliant with the Top Runner standard. Compliance with IE3 is also achieved for three domestic power ratings.
- Supports 230 V at 60 Hz as a standard specification in compliance with the U.S. efficiency regulations.
- All models have Class 155 (F) insulation (temperature rises limited to Class B), further boosting their reliability.
Compliant with the Top Runner standard. Compliance with IE3 is also achieved for three domestic power ratings.
The efficiency level of IE3 (premium efficiency) specified in JIS C 4034-30:2011 is achieved for both of Japan's power systems: 200 V at 50 Hz and 200/220 V at 60 Hz (same for the 400 V class).
Supports 230 V at 60 Hz as a standard specification in compliance with the U.S. efficiency regulations.
A combination of 230 V and 60 Hz is adopted as a standard feature for the U.S. market. Compliance with the U.S. Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA) is achieved. The compliance certification number (CC number: CC037A) is shown.
All models have Class 155 (F) insulation (temperature rises limited to Class B), further boosting their reliability.
All models have Class 155 (F) insulation as a standard feature and limit temperature rises to 80 K (Class B), further boosting the insulation reliability.
Adopts
- Compared to our existing standard motor, loss is reduced by 30 to 40%. The energy-saving effect resulting from increased efficiency reduces environmental impact.
- Inverter drive further boosts the energy-saving effect.
- Outdoor specifications adopt the IP55 protection system, boosting environmental durability.
- Low-noise operation is achieved.
- Support of additional options and compliance with overseas efficiency regulations
Compared to our existing standard motor, loss is reduced by 30 to 40%. The energy-saving effect resulting from increased efficiency reduces environmental impact.
The increased energy-saving effect lowers the running cost. This allows you to quickly recover the difference in purchase price from our existing standard efficiency motor and contribute to reducing environmental impact.
Inverter drive further boosts the energy-saving effect.
Inverter drive further boosts the energy-saving effect.
The premium gold motor reduces loss, leading to a reduction in the amount of heat generation. Compared to our existing standard efficiency motor, this motor supports an improved allowable continuous torque at low speed.
Outdoor specifications adopt the IP55 protection system, boosting environmental durability.
Outdoor models adopt the IP55 protection system, which is the global standard that provides greater protection against ingress of solid foreign matter or water than the conventional IP44 standard, thereby boosting their environmental durability.
Low-noise operation is achieved.
We have conducted fluid analysis and other tests to find the optimal fan and fan cover shapes, which has allowed us to reduce noise while maintaining the cooling performance.
The noise level has been lowered to below 80 dB (A) even in 2-pole 60-Hz motors.
Support of additional options and compliance with overseas efficiency regulations
Additional options, such as terminal box position, rotation direction, shaft end screw hole drilling, installation direction (above, below or parallel to the shaft), additional treatment (2 class of anti-corrosion treatment) and frame ground terminal, are supported, and compliance with overseas efficiency regulations is achieved.

- Power consumption reduction
- Savings in electric power cost
- Reduction in CO2 emissions
Track record of shipping over 2.5 million units since the start of sales
Since sales started in 2015, over 2.5 million units have been shipped.
The motor is used to drive various industries and contributing to energy savings in society.
Power consumption reduction
Since efficiency is higher than that of standard efficiency motors, power consumption can be reduced significantly.
For example, if you replace a 4-pole 3.7-kW motor, the annual power consumption will be reduced by 1.8 MWh.
* The calculation assumes a 4-pole 3.7-kW motor operating at 200 V and 50 Hz for 5,000 hours a year.
Savings in electric power cost
Reduced power consumption leads to savings in electric power cost.
For example, if you replace a 4-pole 3.7-kW motor, the annual electric power cost can be saved by 30,000 yen or so.
* The amount is calculated by multiplying the difference in power consumption by the electric power cost (17 yen/kWh).
Reduction in CO2 emissions
Reduced power consumption leads to a reduction in CO2 emissions as well.
For example, if you replace a 4-pole 3.7-kW motor, the annual CO2 emissions can be reduced by 0.9 tons.
* The calculation assumes that the CO2 emission coefficient is 0.51 kg/kWh.
