Brake motor (ESB series)
The ESB series brake motor, which inherits the history of Toshiba gear motors, has evolved into a new ESB series, thanks to the high efficiency technology of the premium gold motor.
Brake motor (ESB series)
About Brake motor (ESB series)
The ESB series is a spring-controlled three-phase induction motor with a DC electromagnetic brake. Despite being compact and light, the motor endures frequent start and stop operations and supports a wide scope of application in terms of environmental durability. These features make the motor able to meet the diverse needs of many types of industrial equipment. It uses the premium gold motor, which means this product is compliant with the Top Runner standard.
Features
- Compliant with the Top Runner standard. (Excluding the 0.4-kW model)
- Installation compatibility with the existing ESB series is provided.
- Easy maintenance and inspection
- Stable braking performance
- Inverter drive
Compliant with the Top Runner standard. (Excluding the 0.4-kW model)
It is equipped with a brake featuring the premium gold motor, which means this motor is compliant with the Top Runner standard.
The motor can be expected to provide a significant energy-saving effect compared to standard efficiency motors.
Installation compatibility with the existing ESB series is provided.
Replacement is easy because the installation dimensions are the same as those of the existing ESB series.
(The motor-side total length is longer as a result of making the motor more efficient.)
Easy maintenance and inspection
The unit-type brake part can be detached from the motor, and the manual releasing device (bolt type) enables easy maintenance.
Stable braking performance
The spring-controlled multi-disc brake uses a lining material with significant braking work and has abundant braking torque, providing stable braking performance over an extended period of use.
Inverter drive
Top Runner motor-equipped models of 0.75 kW and higher support inverter-driven constant torque operation within the range of 1:10 for the 60 Hz base.
Under the 50 Hz specifications, 4-pole models of 15 kW or lower and 6-pole models of 11 kW or lower support constant torque operation within the range of 1:10.
Adopts
- The motor is compliant with the Top Runner standard, and its energy-saving effect reduces environmental impact.
- Installation compatibility
- Stable braking performance
- Mechanical life
- Inverter drive is possible.
The motor is compliant with the Top Runner standard, and its energy-saving effect reduces environmental impact.
Compared to our existing standard motor, loss is reduced by 30 to 40%. The energy-saving effect resulting from increased efficiency contributes to reducing environmental impact.
Installation compatibility
Replacement is easy because the installation dimensions are the same as those of the existing ESB series.
(The motor-side total length is longer as a result of making the motor more efficient.)
Stable braking performance
The spring-controlled multi-disc brake uses a lining material with significant braking work and has abundant braking torque, providing stable braking performance over an extended period of use.
Mechanical life
The brake has excellent durability, with its mechanical life reaching 1 million operations.
Inverter drive is possible.
PGM-equipped models of 0.75 kW and higher support inverter-driven constant torque operation within the range of 1:10 for the 60 Hz base. Some models require torque reduction for the 50 Hz base. (For inverter operation, care needs to be taken about how to connect the power unit.)
